Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa

 

Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA was built to serve as one of the venues of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The stadium officially opened on 26 March 2001 and has a capacity of 50,889.

During the World Cup, Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA hosted three matches, including two first round group matches and the quarter-final between Brazil and England, which England lost 2-1.

Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA will host Australia v Georgia at Rugby World Cup 2019. The stadium is best reached by car or train. Train station Aino is located a 15-minute walk away from the stadium. Aino is a station on the JR Tokaido Line, which is serviced by JR Central.
