Osaka

Osaka is Japan’s third-largest city and travelling fans will notice the pace is a little bit faster than other places. This will be a destination that fans will love: Osaka is a city that loves to eat and it’s unofficial slogan is kuidaore (‘eat until you drop’).

Travelling fans will notice that the locals seem to be ready for a good meal and good time – which means England supporters will fit right in! The Dōtombori is the city’s liveliest night spot and centre of the Minami (south) part of town. Its name comes from the 400-year-old canal, Dōtombori-gawa.

There are other things to take the fancy in Osaka other than the nightlife and the food. The Abeno Harukas is Japan’s tallest building and houses Japan’s largest department store. The observatory has 360-degree views of the whole Kansai region through windows that run several storeys high. This is a must-do for travelling fans during Rugby World Cup 2019.
