Tokyo Disney

An absolute must for any Disney fan out there! The first Disney theme park outside of the United States, it was opened in 1983. They have seven different themes ranging across the park from Tomorrowland (An out of space theme with future technologies) to Westernland (A US western frontier theme).

Just a five minute walk from JR Maihama Station or just outside the Tokyo Disneyland Station itself, Disneyland is definitely an experience not to miss!

Shiroi Koibito Park Chocolate Factory

Shiroi Koibito is a chat de langue cookie that’s one of the standard Hokkaido souvenirs. It’s made of two cookies that sandwich white chocolate, chosen to remind people of Hokkaido’s white snow. Here, you can see how they make Shiroi Koibito as well as decorate your own original version. If you try it once, you’ll be addicted!

You are on holiday after all, so why not!

Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise

The Sea Paradise in Yokohama is the perfect day out, with lots of different animals and attractions to see, ranging from Dolphins and Walruses, to Polar bears and Giant turtles.
One of the highlights of the Sea Paradise, is the Aqua Museum. This is a walk-through tunnel, surrounded by a huge tank of water, hosting all kinds of sea life that swim around just metres away from you. If that isn’t enough for you, then just head outside and there are daily marine mammal shows in which animals perform tricks and skills in front of crowds.
The site is located on a small offshore island, just a 30 minute train ride south of Yokohama, so easily accessible to anyone!

Ferris Wheel

One of the most prominent landmarks in Yokohama is the neon Ferris Wheel that lights up the night sky. There is enough space for 480 passengers at any one time and reaches a height of 112 metres. If that isn’t enough to satisfy you, then there are 27 total rides in park, which includes a high speed water roller-coaster.
You’ll never lose track of time while you’re there as there is a monumental clock placed in the centre of the Ferris Wheel, which is synonymous with the amusement park itself.

Nogeyama Zoo

If you find yourself with a spare couple of hours on your Yokohama adventure, then the Nogeyama Zoo is the perfect stop. The zoo hosts over 100 different species, including some rarer ones. Unlike a lot of zoos, this one differs in that you can interact with a lot of the animals that you will see on your visit. One more thing to note is that the zoo is completely free to enter, so there is no reason not to go and see the adorable animals!
The zoo is just a 3 minute train journey from Yokohama Station.
